Plot to Disrupt Funeral Ceremony Foiled

by Yaz Shandar

(Tripoint Station)  TRI-SEC successfully foined a plot to disrupt a funeral ceremony for Ja’lil Aq’tamm today.

“We had strong suspicion that something like this would happen,” said Solder Ronin, head of TRI-Security. “Pilot GRN2 launch was pertty clear with his intent on station channels.  So we have TRI-SEC-2 positioned outside the station and launched the decoy.  GRN2 took the bait and TRI-SEC-2 took him down.  It was an easy operation.” Continue reading

STCC Says Hall of Fame Induction Stands

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  The STCC today voted overwhelmingly to leave pilot GrimGriz’s induction in-place — nullifying the executive order of Premier Demeter GarrethArbin Mallow, the Solrain Hall of FameSpeaker for Soria said, “We understand why Premier Garreth did what she did, but in this case GrimGriz was voted into the Hall of Fame by the people — and Premier Garreth, as an appointed official — does not have the power to circumvent the will of the people.”

“But this is a bitter pill to swallow,” added Mallow.  “The recent actions and political tendencies of pilot GrimGriz is certainly not consistent with our expectations of a hall-of-famer.”

Drama Builds in the Aftermath of RB-2 Facility Attack

by Thane Carios

(Quantar Core) A Quantar-sponsored mission to rebuild the RB-2 facility began unexpectedly this morning:

The Tahirs have called for an emergency mission to rebuild the RB-2 factory that was destroyed by Hyperial terrorists. Please be aware that members of Edwin Reece Industries are Hyperialist terrorists and should be considered enemies of all.

The rebuilding effort is expected to take quite a while given the few number of active pilots these days and the complexities of the construction.

Although Quantar has laid the blame squarely on Edgar Reece Industries, E.R.I. has gg inquisitionsuggested that the attack was the coordinated work of a rogue employee and a member of Quantar squad The Brotherhood, releasing the following interrogation transcript.

Sources have also indicated that Solrain Premier Demeter Garreth and E.R.I. foundar Edgar Reece will be meeting on Cornea Station on 120.7.21 sometime around 20:00 UTC.

Hyperial was asked for a statement regarding the attack on Quantar.  They declined to make a formal statement and simply replied: “It’s such a shame.”

We apologize for any inconvenience.

E.R.I. Employee Destroys RB-2 Facility; Receives Serious Censure

by Thane Carios

(Solrain Core)  Pilot GrimGriz of Edgar Reece Industries today attacked and destroyed the damaged RB-2 factory in Quantar Core sector with minimal resistance.

“He’s a Hyperial terrorist,” said First Tahir Pejia Neamru.  “And this attack was not on Quantar — it was on ALL of the civilized factions who need this important equipment for maintenance and repair.”

While GrimGriz took credit for destroying the facility, he did not indicate why he chose that particular target rather than something more specifically-vital to Quantar..

The Office of Solrain Premier Demeter Garreth released the following statement:

We are all saddened and angered by the acts of this troubled individual.  Not only because he is a Solrain citizen — but because we just conferred one of our high honors upon him. We are embarrassed in the extreme.  This irenegade also had the gg emailimpudence to contact our just-elected Speaker, Ms. Duvazaco, and infer her involvement.

This last act moved Mr. Grim’s behavior from being obnoxious and embarrassing — to being an affrobnt to Solrain.  Because of the seriousness of these circumstances, I am using my authority as Premier to strip pilot GrimGriz of both is Solrain political standing and his place in our Hall of Fame.

The Premier would not say whether other employees of E.R.I would be receiving any censure, but a staffer who asked not to be identified heard Garreth yelling: “Where’s Reece.  I want his ass sitting in my office tomorrow or there will be hell to pay!”

Solrain Hall of Fame Inductee Chosen

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  The voting for this year’s Solrain Hall of Fame ended up in a dead heat Solrain Hall of Famebetween GrimGriz and Jump (aka JumpDemon) — which was ionic since both parties profess loyalty to Hyperial.

The consulting firm of Lunkwill and Fook (L&F) was hired by the STCC to verify that there was no tampering by Hyperial.  Once that was ruled-out, L&F created a random selection algorithm — which chose GrimGriz as the inductee for 120 AT.

Because of GrimGriz‘s Hyperial allegiance, several members of the STCC called for the selection to be voided, but they were unable to garner enough votes to do so.

STCC Votes to Extend Terms

by Thane Carios

(Wake Station)  The STCC voted today to extend the terms of Speakers from 3 years to 6 years.  “For many years there was tremendous year-over-year stability in the Speakers’ Chairs,” said one STCC member. “But recenly, challengers have been scoring surprising victories.  We want the people to have a strong voice but three years is just not long enough to get political traction.”

The terms will increase gradually, with the next election for Soria coming in 122 (a 4-year term); the election for Hellion being in 124 (a 4-year term); and then completing the cycle with the next election for Amanra being in 126 — the full 6-year term.

“I think this is a win for Solrain,” said Premier-Emeritus Cristofore Parce.  “We need to give these fine Speakers enough time to get their agendas in place and their programs running.  The Premier may be the ‘face’ of our great Commonwealth.  But the Speakers …  they are the ones who can really get things done.  They are the heart and soul of our government.”
