Rismore Promotes Faction Mission

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  Berl Rismore, who has not been heard from since his unsuccessful Berlcampaign to become Mayor of Barnard in early 118, today surfaced to promote the completion of the current Hyperial Faction Mission, releasing this statement:

I think most people know me as one who doesn’t simply follow the “party line.”  I speak out on what I think is right and what I think is wrong.  And right now, I think the clear conspiracy to deny Hyperial and its people of being able to benefit from a Faction Mission squarely falls into the “wrong” category.

I do not disagree with Dr. Yrral’s position that pilots should not use up all of the Biomass gathered to make nuclear missiles.  But why isn’t someone gathering more for this mission?  I urge pilots to ignore the political babblers and conspirators on all sides.  Just do what is fair.

Let’s get this FM completed!

Hyperial Celebrates Rauder

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  Today, on what would have been his 62nd birthday, Hyperial celebrates the life of Dr. Kelvin Rauder.   All Hyperial businesses and comm networks will shut down from 12:00 – 12:15 UTC.

Rauder served eleven years as President — most of them littered with controversy — from appointing someone Quantar considered a war criminal as his head of security … to surviving an ouster attempt … to the abduction of Quantar Delegates … to the Letifer Virus and the genocidal attempt at eradication of the Fourth Tribe.  He was also suspected of having connections to the deaths of Brother Io and Dayalu.

Rauder was assassinated on 109.11.2.  While Hyperial blamed Quantar, no evidence of any kind was ever found to support the allegation.

Lexxor Releases Drone Photos

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  Today, Lexxor Intelligence released a series of photos taken by a drone packed with one of its specially-modified Maul missiles.

In addition to the dramatic photos, Lexxor said it has also received other sensor telemetry, which it is sharing with TRI Corporation for analysis.

Lexxor’s specially-modified Maul missiles were used by pilots GrimJack and Kanthakeh to take down the final Conflux Infestation on the Quantar Gate/Inner Storm jumpgate on 120.2.21.

Infestations Cleared

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  It took over a week, but pilots finally cleared the last super-infestation yesterday from Quantar Gate. It is estimated that approximately 800 nuclear missiles — including 20 specially-modified Maul missiles — were needed to complete the task.

Pilots Andanwen, Cat4Par, Cono, Donnie, Flowbar, GrimJack, HitGirl, Kanthakeh, Koopmans and Rail69 have all been nominated for FluxBuster awards.  Donnie, Flowbar and Rail69 have also been nominated for the Defender of the Barrier medal for their particularly important roles in taking down these infestations.

Prof. Athena ShaiDen was originally nominated, but she requested to be taken off the list, saying that “it was not appropriate” for a person in her position.

Tahirs Offer Nuke Subsidy

UUNN Newswire

(Quantar Core) The Office of the Tahirs today released the following statement:

logo_quantarThe Tahirs have determined that it is the qua’ it tahir (“the will of the people”) that the Quantar Gate/Inner Storm infestation be destroyed, and to that end they have agreed to subsidize the cost for 20 of Lexxor Intelligence‘s specially modified weapons.

While the other infested gates are of little importance and are not worth the cost or effort to remove the infestations, the Quantar Gate infestation block a route used by many for mining and trade.

Pilots interested in delivering the blow against the Conflux menace should apply directly to The Office of the Tahirs.  Children of Hamalzah will, of course, be given preference.

Yrral Urges “Partial” Hyp Mission Boycott

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  In a rare public statement, Dr. Nevin Yrall, Vice President of TRI Research (TRI-R) has called for pilots to boycott parts of the current Hyperial Faction Mission.

“It’s really unbelievable,” said Yrral.  “We just completed a long and difficult mission to Hyp FMincrease Conflux Biomass inventories. We are in the midst of an historic infestation even that it putting a big dent in nuclear missile supplies.  And now Hyperial want pilots to take nukes to Hyperial for its ‘projects?'”

The Hyperial mission began yesterday on 120.2.14 calling for ‘several important commodities for its projects’ . . . saying ‘Speedy completion of this mission is critical.’

Adiar Calls for All-Out War on Conflux

by Ares Kiden

(Solrain Core Station) After yesterday’s massive infestation event and the independent analysis done by Xenobiology expert Prof. Athena ShaiDen, TRI-DEF’s Conflux-guy, Carlo Adiar spoke out with a very different view.

“This was a punch in the face,” said an agitated Adiar.  “And we need to respond.  With force.  If we don’t it’ll be a sign of weakness . . . blood in the water.  And then, god help us.”

Adiar’s recommendation:  all-out war.  “I say we ‘brute force’ those remaining infestations.  We have plenty of nukes in stock.  I don’t see what the issue is,” said Adiar in response to ShaiDen’s recent analysis.  “But we should not stop there.  We need to send out a call for all pilots to go on the offensive.  Take conflux missions.  Harvest Conflux biomass.  Destroy Conflux hives.  Wipe out Conflux swarms.”

“These primitive space-fish are more instinctive than intelligent.  Let’s let them know we don’t [edited] around.  Watch them tuck-tail and sulk.”

Expert Releases Scan Data

UUNN Newswire

(Cornea Station)  Professor Athena ShaiDen, Xenobiology Chairperson at Sutonia College, released the following statement on the recent infestations blocking unregulated space:

Upon hearing about the spate of infestations that had sprung up across space, I installed my prototype Narrow Beam Scanner and headed out to gather data.  In some instances it was simple, raw data from the infestations, but in a couple instances I was able to gather differential data before and after nuke strikes.

Although my team at Sutonia College is still evaluating the data, some of the patterns I saw in the data from the strongest infestations — Light Lost, Outer Ring, Inner Storm and Greater Arm — were very similar to patterns we recorded in 115 during the Battle for Dark Crossroads.

What we saw then was infestations that lasted for days — not only because they were strong, but because unlike normal infestations, these infestations regenerated (it was never determined exactly how).

Today, pilots were able to “brute force” one of these super-infestations (Quantar Gate/Greater Arm).  We may be able to do the same on the remaining ones — or we could suspend efforts temporarily in hopes that Lexxor can duplicate the specially modified weapons use in the Battle for DX.

It is not for me to say which approach to take.

I will provide additional information if we find anything of additional importance during our analysis.
