(Solrain Core) Cleanup crews didn’t have to put in any overtime after this, most recent, Reconstruction Days holiday. To be fair, as in recent years there has been a far smaller event lineup than there was in days past, but participation this year was minimal and
First there was the “Holiday Mission” — a mission to haul in the commidities needed to manufacture Electronics was completed in time for the end of the holiday. The mission was completed by Quantar pilot Hammer-BS.
There was also a “Rediscovering the Past” artifact contest. The winner once again, Quantar pilot Hammer-BS. Here are the details:

(UUNN HQ) Edgar Reece Industries (E.R.I.) has announced that it has received approval for awards to be given to the winners and participants in its The Dark Encounter Arena series: Shuttles in the Dark, which was held on 120.5.3; and Lil Fighters in The Dark, which was held on 120.5.6.
*** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
E.R.I. would like to thank the proud pilots of TRI who have made the launch of The Dark Encounter Arena not only a great bio-medical success, but also a great welcoming of our Company to your community in the Stars. In how short a time were 3 fully functioning battle POS constructed and stocked? I would love to claim E.R.I. had managed this impressive feat – but it was only with the pilots of TRI and their surprising willingness to experiment with prototype technology that allowed the first series of events in The Dark Encounter Arena to even take place.
Perhaps most surprising was the assistance that came to us from the Quantar Brotherhood. Pilot MLDeath single-handedly fulfilled the stocking requirements of all 3 stations for a nominal fee, and took the sudden-death beacon control win in the second round of Shuttles in the Dark. Pilot Nessos tested the first prototype of consciousness projection technology and has reported no ill effects! Military Legends spork and Ambrosius were the star competitors in the final round Lil’ Fighters in The Dark and took the victories with both score and beacon control.
Solrain pilots that contributed or participated include GrimGriz who cleared his criminal record to get in line with E.R.I. requirements, and then competed in all events using our experimental technology. Pilot Atlantis helped beta test the technology and set up for the event. Pilot Gucky competed in the opening round of Shuttles in the Dark for Solrain, and Pilot DrPerky squared off against elite veterans from the other factions in Lil’ Fighters in The Dark.
Some of the best pilots Octavius has to offer also assisted in the opening of The Dark Encounter Arena. Pilot _RAZAAR_ flew alongside pilot C-note for a decisive Aptyrex win in the opening round of Shuttles in The Dark, and was leading the score in round 2 when MLDeath claimed the sudden-death Beacon. Octavian Vanguard pilot Algore represented the faction against Quantar’s Legends.
We have submitted the paperwork to the Bureau for awards for all competitors in this initial series of Dark Encounters, and extend our corporate gratitude to the others that helped make this possible – specifically the capital contributions of Nafcon and Lovemonk, silent pillars of this endeavor.
The Dark Encounter Arena is Edgar Reece Industries bringing competitive sporting to the Space Lanes, where Violence is only one path to Victory.

(Quantar Core)Festival 118! came to a close with some mixed reviews. About 40 pilots were online over the four days of the holiday, but according to TRI Corporation, which sponsors the annual holiday events, pilots participation in contests and events was fairly disappointing across the board.
Conversely, there was some disappointment with TRI Corp’s event management as well. Pilot Sinver slammed the running of Friday’s Treasure Hunt event, saying:
“I was looking forward to this all,day while at work. I’ve wasted an entire evening because quite frankly, you couldn’t organize a piss up in a brewery. The clues were useless. Don’t even bother tomorrow. Just park the ship and forget about it. A great idea, really great idea terribly executed. My entire evening wasted. Thanks guys.”
(Quantar Core) Although the asteroid cooling problem seemed to overshadow this year’s holiday, there were a couple of activities.
The first one was an opportunity for pilots to vote for a new Quantar award — the Shahir Assad or “Shining Lion.” The award is for lifetime achievements in service of Quantar. As with the Solrain Hall of Fame, the voting ended in a tie between Tezrend and Ambrosius, so a randomized choice was made — and the winner was Tezrend (aka Tesrend)! Votes were also received for tom-t and the late FS-Falcon.
The other holiday contest was QuanTrivia where there were four entrants getting all five answers correct and winning a Cesium Medal, a CM4 and 1 million credits! Congratulations to the winners: Hammer-BS, Gander, ML-Death and Clanlord!
The awarding of medals and prizes should be completed over the next few days. Continue reading →
(Quantar Core) This year’s Quantar Miners’ Days holiday includes a QuanTrivia Contest. There are five question about Quantar culture and history. Some are easy . . . others are pretty challenging. Those who answer all five questions correctly will receive a Cesium Medal and 1 million credits and a CM4; those who answer 1 to 4 questions correctly will receive a Keval’s Thanks medal; and all other participants will receive a Captain’s Commendation.
(UUNN HQ) After a week-long flux-hunt with 26 pilots participating, the Samwise Memorial Flux Hunt came to an end last Saturday. The event, which was sponsored by pilot RazorsKiss of squad FluxGuts had pilots of all level rushing to max out their conflux-kill-counts, and even had a few long-missing veterans returning returning to honor pilot Samwise — who, sadly, passed-on last year.
Top prizes for the overall number of flux-kills went to:
All other participants received a Captain’s Commendation for their efforts; and RazorsKiss is being awarded the Echoes of Hope award for his significant efforts in sponsoring, promoting and running the week-long contest. Continue reading →
(Solrain Core) Awards for the Festival! 117 have been released — with a couple that were unexpected. “Festival! is the biggest holiday of the year,” said Garth Taren, President & CEO of TRI Corporation. “TRI Corporation works very hard and very closely with Solrain, Quantar and Octavius to sponsor a diverse series of holiday events that are available to a broad array of pilots of all levels. This year we had races, contests, missions, trivia — and even a Haiku-writing contest.”
Taren went on to say that the Festival! holiday provides a perfect platfor for special recognitions: “Festival! gets everyone’s attention in a unique way because it’s roots come from ALL of the factions. This year, we are pleased to introduce a new, very prestigious award called ‘Sarath’s Orb,’ and along with that, we are absolutely thrilled that we will be able to announce two Pilots Choice Awards because there is nothing better than being recognized by your peers.” Continue reading →
