Pilots Drive off Ferocious Attack on Tripoint

by Phineas Attora

(Tripoint Station) Sentient Conflux activity was first detected in The Quadrangle at 16:30 UTC and a relentless barrage went on until pilots Kanthakeh, Peng, Algore and Hammer-BS were able to destroy the sentient eel in Tripoint Station Sector at 21:22 UTC.

As overheard from pilots in the #ready-room, the attack began with the Conflux sealing off all of the jumpgates to The Quadrangle with infestations, and continued with the infestation of all gates into Tic-Tac’s Hook. At 18:13 UTC, KTRI reported the beginning of the bombardment of the Helium Nano Assembler. Active pilots assembled, blasting their way through infestations to launch their defense of Tripoint sector and its infrastructure.

The Sentient Eel was defended by numerous drones, but the gritty pilots whittled away at the Conflux horde and destroyed its leader, putting an end to the hours-long assault . Pilot Peng reported the building has sustained significant damage, but was not destroyed. Concerted repair efforts were able to restore the Nano Assembler building to functionality fairly quickly.

Sentients Infest TRI-Pact Factions

by Phineas Attora

(Solrain Core Station)  Conflux sentients began an assault yesterday (123.7.28) against all three TRI-Pact factions resulting in infested anomaly sectors in each faction’s home space.  According to logs, sentient activity was initially detected by the Octavian Shore Subspace Transceiver at 19:58 UTC — where  the same Subspace Transcever had detected Sentient activity last week.subspace-transceiver

The Octavian Shore sector was quickly sealed off by Infestations, but just as pilots began to rally to break through, more Sentient activity was reported in Solrain Space in The Fields sector.  Pilot dope of Koops Inc. risked his Viceroy freighter to observe the sentient activity in The Fields reportedly seeing a Nautiloid and Jellyfish as that sector too, began to be sealed off. Anonymous DSS Info Submitted

by Yaz Shanndar

(UUNN HQ) UUNN recently received decrycrpted data, allegedly from a DSS.  While others have published DSS data in the past — sometimes with pretty remarkable information — this one seemed interesting in that it references almost nothing familiar . . . other than a date window that, if it is Solrain Standard, references a time over three millennia ago —  which would be the oldest historical reference  ever found.

The fragmentary information we received was:

DSS data - The Wardens

We searched UUNN, TRINN,TRI-Databank . . . and even tri_subnet — but the only hit we got was “Trystero” (which we found on TRI-Databank).  But that particular article was about an ancient work of fiction which the TRI-D article suggested was lost when The Aethenaeum was destroyed in The Great Collapse.

There is no way to verify anything and the submitter was anonymous — which makes this even more suspect.  But if this was truly a tiny fragment of information that just possibly came from the remains of The Aethenaeum . . . well that would be truly  monumental.

TRI Scrambles to Determine Source of “Inventory Leaks”

UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ)  TRI Corporation has been working for several hours to try to determine the cause of what they are calling “inventory leaks” at all factional stations.

“Right now we’re trying to figure out what the hell is going on,” said Yelda Mossad, TRI Director of Station Systems and Maintenance.  “Systems show commodity inventory drain consistent with equipment production — but nothing of substance is being produced.  We can’t start working on a solution until we can figure out the problem.  Fortunately there are no parallel “equipment leaks.”

Until the “leaks” have been resolved, pilots are encouraged to not attempt to restock the primary faction stations, as that could potentially all be drained away as well.

“SDS (Depot) Stations, however, appear to be unaffected,” added Mossad, “so pilots are encouraged to move ore from Ore Depots to the SDS stations where commodities can be staged for redistribution.”
