Ipuki-Hanh Threatens CLAWS Once Again

by Icefoxen

Multiple Sentients were downed, though the Conflux host thought to contain the Thrice Seven Ipuki-Hanh rammed into Outpost Station before it could be destroyed by defense forces. As of press time, TRI officials were not available for comment on possible damage to Outpost Station after such a violent collision.

The bulk of the sentient Conflux attack finally ended at approximately 00:20, though a single sentient did decloak off of SpaceDrake’s wing at 00:30 and attempted to down his Tempest. The sentient failed, quickly being destroyed by a full TRI wing.

At approximately 00:40, another sentient was spotted in Arkan’s Cloud. It quickly retreated to the anomaly in sector and jumped out. These two incidents have led to theories regarding cloaked Conflux in Outpost sector during the attack. Some pilots believe that the sentients might have been cloaked near station, and that the sentient attack upon the TRI wing at 00:30 could have been a diversion to allow the other C17 Sentient to escape to Flux space with possible intel on CLAWS. New Dawn Conflux War Command believes this theory is at least plausible given the “increasingly organized nature of Conflux attacks.” (LupinOne)

There is also worry among many TRI pilots that the Conflux may attempt or have attempted a scan of Outpost Station while cloaked. There is no comment on this concern by TRI officials to date.

Expert sources within SNN have aired concerns that the Conflux’s use of C-0s against Solrain Core could imply that the enemy is gathering intelligence on Professor Vandagriff’s lab. Other sources also find it peculiar that no C-0s were present at Outpost Station for this assault.

Could the Conflux be finished with their scans of Outpost? Could Solrain Core be their next objective? Could a crippling attack on Outpost Station be pending if indeed the Conflux are done with their scans upon Outpost?

All of these questions and more remain unanswered tonight as Outpost and Solrain Core Stations continue repairs after yet another night of heavy assaults.

Shortly after the attack, TRI pilots invited Ipuki-Hanh to “kiss their behinds” after another apparent Conflux defeat. Further information is within the INFORMATION portion of the SNN article accessible via the “Comments” link below.

Small Station Explodes Close To Hyperial

by Zoe Vexel
HYPERIAL STATION (TRI-FP) – A small station, being used as the Visiting Dignitaries’ Quarters by Hyperial, unexpectedly exploded last last night. The station was approximately 60k from Hyperial station, and no damage to either Hyperial or other stations within the sector has been reported.

An investigation was immediately launched, and while no official word has been forthcoming, sources within the Hyperial government indicate that a Phoenix class fighter craft experienced a critical engine malfunction upon launch, and exploded in the launch bay, causing a cascade reaction throughout the station.

Foul play has not been ruled out at this time.

Thrice Seven Leads Assault on Outpost Station

by Icefoxen

The attack began at approximately 0:00 Ekoos time. It started out with waves of smaller Conflux ranging from C6 through 12s. Initially the assault appeared to be a standard attack, but as the onslaught continued a number of Jellyfish were spotted and quickly downed. For a moment, it seemed as if the Conflux attack had ceased, before another C-0 Jellyfish appeared. After the Jellyfish was destroyed, another wave of Conflux jumped into Outpost sector (OP) in what looked like retaliation upon the pilot who downed the Jelly.

After four to five waves of Flux attacks proceeding in this fashion – the destruction of a lone Jellyfish followed by a wave of retaliation – an entire squadron of Jellyfish jumped into OP. All five of the Jellies were quickly dispatched, and in reply a massive attack was launched by Ipuki-Hanh. “You will fail,” Ipuki-Hanh was reported as saying. “We will have what we want.” From this point onward, large groups of C13 through C28 units were active in OP, as well as at least one Conflux probe.

Given the deployment of recon units in force and the enemy’s response to destruction of said units, Conflux experts at SNN believe that the enemy was attempting to scan the CLAWS prototype array under construction at Outpost Station. Whether attempts to prevent this were successful or not has yet to be determined.

Regardless, after two hours of fierce fighting and two complete isolations of OP from the rest of TRI via infestations, the Conflux appeared to be beaten back aside for a single C18. Attacks upon the C18 revealed that the shields equipped on the unit were beyond anything seen on standard sentient craft. It was quickly concluded that the Conflux in question was Ipuki-Hanh, and all available firepower was brought to bear on the Thrice Seven. Any attempts to nuke Ipuki-Hanh failed, though his host was finally destroyed and killed by Biteme of Solicidal after a strenuous firefight between Ipuki-Hanh and at least a full squadron of TRI fighters. Biteme was quickly awarded one million credits and fifty-thousand points of “xp” toward his next rank for the “kill” shot on the Thrice Seven. The battle finally ended after two and a half hours of fierce fighting, at approximately 02:30 Ekoos.

Dozens of pilots from squads such as Stormraiders, GOD, OAS, ION, Brotherhood, Solrain Guard, Solicidal, Drake’s Dragoons, OEC, New Dawn, and a multitude of independents participated in the battle. Special thanks is well-deserved to pilot FS_mR_kAt and other pirates who assisted in the battle, who despite their status as a pirates, joined in TRI’s defense of Outpost Station and Project CLAWS. Such a show of solidarity from humanity against the Conflux menace is encouraging in increasingly dark times.

Pilot -Doc- offered great assistance as well, delivering much-needed supplies (such as Flashfires) to Outpost station even amidst large Flux assault wings. Firestorm of OAS destroyed at least two infestations, and might have been responsible for a sentient kill as well (unconfirmed).

Pilots Syphus, Wut, Feldman, Manawski, dahalb, TheTickBR3, and FS_mR_kAt are credited with a single sentient “kill,” while pilots Squik and Icefoxen were credited with two sentient “kills.” Biteme of Solicidal downed the sentient host that was thought to contain Ipuki-Hanh. It is worthy to note that Wut, Manawski, and TheTickBR3’s sentient kills were their first.

TRI medals are deserved all around here as far as this reporter is concerned. All pilots involved in the defense of Outpost Station and the Project CLAWS prototype array under construction inside are to be commended for a job well done. It was my pleasure and honor to fly into battle alongside each and every one of you against the greatest threat humanity as ever known.

Upon deployment of Shark-class units, Ipuki-Hanh might have thought he was showing TRI that the Conflux were not to be trifled with. As the dust of a truly epic battle settles here tonight at Outpost Station, it is fairly obvious that the exact opposite is the case.

Quantar Civil War Erupts!

AQM and Brotherhood have had a relationship that is best described as tense the past few weeks as they have clashed over foreign policy issues – namely, political stance toward Solrain. AQM has been attacking Solrain and Octavius, while The Brotherhood has remained a close ally of Solrain. This had put the Brotherhood into an awkward situation, particularly after their warning of AQM not to fire on fellow Quantars. Both squadrons disagree on whether Solrain is a true ally of Quantar, and it is this that created the powder keg that exploded in stupendous fury tonight.

It all began as Drizzt321 flew through unreg space, claiming sectors for his squadron, M00, from AQM as he went. Drizzt claims that AQM had given him some trouble earlier, and that they had been “overbearing” on matters of squad claims and Quantar foreign policy. AQM forces tailed Drizzt and shot him down, seeing the claims as a “final straw,” as he had been warned numerous times before to cease his squad claiming from AQM (though the number of times he was warned is under dispute). Drizzt321 claims he was only claiming sectors and flipping beacons for valuable flight experience and credits and that this is yet another sign of AQM’s overbearing and aggressive nature. He claims he had no intent to fight. As far as this reporter can tell, Ntwadumela of AQM was then downed in reply to GrimGriz of AQM’s downing of Drizzt321 – a violation of Brotherhood’s demand that AQM leave fellow Quantars alone if they were going to commit to aggression against Solrain.

JPR was on the scene reporting of this incident from the very start, and we here at Warcry thank them for their diligance to this community. Great broadcast, if I do say so myself (I happened to be the Producer tonight – JPrime was the main man, our DJ).

Shortly before this reporter’s sign off, three major-conflict indicators appeared on the tactical overlay on the the galactic map – One in Quantar Core, one in Omni V, and one in Wake Station. Skirmish indicators also lighted up in Cerulean Clouds. No doubt this is only an indicator in the vicious ferocity to come in the Quantar Civil War of 104.

May whatever dieties you bow to show mercy upon the souls of us all.
