Hyperial (TRI-FP) – In a statement released by Samsun Universal today, the bids from Tens & Piney, Cromforge, and OPL have been revealed as the finalists in the ongoing battle to win the rights to manufacture the Letifer virus cure.

“Samsun received many bids, and after an exhaustive period of due diligence, we have identified three strong finalists. The bids from Tens & Piney, Cromforge and OPL are all very appealing in their own ways.

“Given the critical nature of this project, we have challenged each corporation to acquire the necessary materials to build a suitable planetside manufacturing plant. The one who best demonstrates the necessary skills at both project management and execution will be awarded this lucrative contract.”

All three corporations were swift to act on this news, delivered to them yesterday, by initiating missions to seek help from TRI pilots.

Quantar Core (TRI-FP) – The body of Huey Luoto was found earlier today by maintenance staff working to restore Thorn production at Quantar Core station.

Luoto was officially listed as a Competitive Threat Analyst, although Cromforge was unwilling to comment on the specifics of his duties, or what he may have been doing in that part of the station.

Security at Quantar Core are treating the death as suspicious.

Venurian Introduces New Gadget

Corridor (TRI-FP) – Venurian Prospecting broadened its control of the commodity market today, with the announcement of a magnetic ramscoop, designed to capture gases from particle clouds.

“The FuelScoop is a natural evolution of the mining scoop technology used on Quantar ships,” stated Soheg Ekobzi. “Small enough to fit into a standard M.O.D.x slot, yet powerful enough to capture a wide variety of gases at high speeds, the FuelScoop fills an obvious gap in our resource collection product line. Needing only modest production facilities, the FuelScoop will be aggressively priced to appeal to a broad market sector.”

Following close negotiations between Venurian and TRI, a mission for pilots to build the production facilities at Corridor station has already been initiated.

Investment Opportunities Offered

TRI-HQ (TRI-FP) – In what appears to be an attempt to recoup losses after a the recent tit for tat corporate squabbles, Tens & Piney, Cromforge Enterprises, and Octave Propulsion Labs have all offered up similar investment opportunities as part of their bids to win the exclusive manufacturing rights for the Letifer virus cure from Samsun Universal.
“Tens & Piney is pleased to offer the chance at a good investment opportunity for enterprising pilots,” stated Vivian Duvazaco. “When T&P wins the cure bid, those pilots who invested will be richly rewarded for their foresight and financial savvy as their initial investment gets doubled. In addition, T&P commits to ensuring the cure is made available as fast as possible to any government who has citizens suffering from this terrible disease.”

“Cromforge is committed to bringing this cure to the people of Perasca,” remarked Cila Rotup’uh. “It is our intention to offer this cure to the Fa’hil Memta at cost price. Cromforge is not out to make a profit, nor reverse engineer the cure into a new virus, but simply to help those who are suffering.”

“Only Octave Propulsion has the vision for this project,” commented Zru Tudezaw. “Anyone with an ounce of common sense will see that investing in the OPL bid offers an almost guaranteed chance to double their money in a very short period of time. We have a proven track record of taking the initiative, and thinking out of the box to bring products to market faster than our competitors.”

All three investments close at 23:59 ET on 105.03.17 and any pilot wishing to partake should contact the corporations directly.

Cromforge Retaliates Against OPL

Quantar Core (TRI-FP) – According to a statement issued by Cromforge this morning, a surgical strike team comprising of several Quantar pilots escorted a Cromforge agent into Octavian space, and managed a ‘successful’ strike against OPL assets throughout the Empire.

“After the earlier unprovoked attack against Cromforge production facilities, Cromforge Enterprises decided on a measured response, to ensure that OPL and others are fully aware that all actions have consequences.

“Once Cromforge engineers assessed how OPL was able to destroy our inventory so effectively, it was a simple matter to turn this against OPL. Our agent was not only successful in ensuring several thousand OPL items were destroyed, but also managed to completely shutdown production of the OPL “Injustice” heavy laser.

“With the completion of this operation, Cromforge Enterprises considers the matter closed, and we have submitted detailed information to TRIR-MSD on the design flaws that were exploited to enable the recyclers to be reprogrammed. Cromforge is grateful for the assistance provided by those pilots who volunteered to escort our agent.”

Requests for comments from OPL have thus far gone unanswered.

Letifer Claims New Virus Activation

Hyperial (TRI-FP) – The following transmission was received by TRINN today, from an untraceable source, purporting to be Letifer.

“It has become clear to us that the Hyperial government has decided to assist Quantar in their efforts to find s cure for my virus. These misguided actions have made the choice of the next planet to be infected an easy one.

“Ealier today, my agents activated the virus on Hypsos. Any other governments who think that assisting Quantar, or Hyperial, is a worthy cause, will find their citizens dying as well.

“Is one traitor really worth the deaths of millions, or even billions of innocent planetside citizens?”

The Hyperial government has not been able to confirm this statement as true or false at this time.

Virus Cure Research Shows ‘Promise’

Corridor Station (TRI-FP) – Scientists working on the preliminary samples delivered to Corridor by New Dawn last week have reported their initial findings as ‘promising’.
“As soon as New Dawn delivered the samples and procedures to us, they were handed off to our scientists for detailed analysis and testing,” stated Governor Sathama Randi. “Field tests on volunteer subjects in the terminal stage of the virus show promising results, in effect reversing and slowing symptoms. While our analysis confirms Samsun’s statements that this is not a final cure, it is an excellent start, and, in bulk, could buy us a great deal of time.”

In related news, Samsun Universal announced that it will no longer be accepting notices of intent to bid.

“Those companies who have expressed an interest in bidding on the exclusive rights to manufacture have until midnight on 105.03.13 to submit their final proposals to Samsun for review, ” remarked Yar Tardon. “Between now and then, all interested bidders are invited to perform due diligence on the recently completed research facilities, as well as the preliminary research delivered to Corridor station last week. The window to submit notices of intent to bid is now closed, and we will not be accepting any further submissions.”

Sources inside Samsun indicate that several corporations have indicated a desire to bid, including Tens & Piney, Cromforge, OPL, Dorator and Lexxor.

Museum Of Unity Opens

TRI-HQ (TRI-FP) – The Venurian Museum of Unity located in Connexion was officially opened last night by CaptainCow of DDZ and Soheg Ekobzi of Venurian Prospecting.
“Everyone at Venurian is delighted to see this museum open to the public,” commented Ekobzi. “The wide spread support and cooperation shown by everyone involved has been a great example of what we can achieve when we work together. The petty bickering that is unfortunately so often the hallmark of the Reconstruction, does nothing to further our efforts. This project is a shining example of what we can achieve when we work together, in unity.”

“A final thank you to all the people who made the museum a reality: Venurian Prospecting for financing the station costs, Octavian Propulsion Laboratories for the permits and licenses, Tens & Piney for the AB artifact set, and all the pilots who made contributions personally or through their squad,” remarked CaptainCow. “I also thank RavenTriem for conflux support for the opening and media support from KTRI, unverFJB, DJ Spammer and JPR. Finally I would like to thank all 18 of the pilots who showed up to see the new facility, perhaps take advantage of the free refuel, rearm, repair, and collect a free ModX artifact courtesy of DDZ. I hope that this museum remains a symbol of peace, prosperity and unity within TRI and as a reminder that to defeat the real enemy we must act together.”

On display are items which have been donated by a wide variety of pilots, as well as corporate sponsors Tens & Piney.

Hyperial Adds Incentive To Mission

by Zoe Vexel

Hyperial (TRI-FP) – Dr Kelvin Rauder, President of Hyperial, has just issued the following statement, adding additional rewards to the current mission to build facilities to find a cure for the ‘Letifer’ virus.

“Finding a cure for the terrible virus that is spreading across Perasca is of the highest importance, not only to Quantar, but also to Hyperial. It is my desire to forge closer ties with TRI, and perhaps even one day start to mend some of the broken bridges between Hyperial and Quantar.

“We can only make small steps. There is no ‘quick fix’. However, as yet one more step towards our goals, I have authorized an increase in the current reward structure for the mission to enhance Samsun’s facilities. Their proactive attitude in this crisis should be a model to us all, and their efforts deserve as much assistance as any of us can provide.

“In addition, I am personally sponsoring a friendly competition. The person who delivers the final batch of materials shall receive a cash prize of up to two hundred million credits. However, every day that the mission goes unfinished, the prize will be reduced by ten million. The winning amount will be matched as a donation in the winner’s name to Paqu Imusena.”

Independent Auditors Invited To Oversee Samsun Work

by Zoe Vexel

Hyperial (TRI-FP) – Bowing to pressure from TRI pilots suspicious of their motives, Hyperial corporation Samsun Universal has offered to let independent observers oversee progress on their facility improvements, as well as ongoing work on the cure for the ‘Letifer’ virus.

“Samsun understands the caution that many TRI pilots have shown towards our intentions surrounding the development of a cure for the terrible virus that is plaguing Perasca,” stated Yar Tardon, spokesperson for Samsun. “While such caution is admirable, it should not be allowed to slow down our progress. To that end, we invite any corporation interested in bidding on the exclusive production rights for the cure to contact us, so we may begin to provide the necessary information to allay the mistrust shown towards this project.

“As a further sign of our good intentions, we will be shipping a sample of the results of our research to date to Corridor station within the next few days. While this sample is by no means a cure, initial testing has shown that it can alleviate the worst symptoms of the virus, and delay the terminal stage. Quantar scientists are welcome to analyze this sample, and will quickly see that it contains nothing malicious. Pilots wishing to provide transport for this sample, should submit their bids for the contract directly to Samsun.”
