* * * * * UUNN BREAKING NEWS ALERT * * * * *
(UUNN HQ) Pilots have reported today that they encountered very high-level conflux in a kind of “stealth swarm” that appears to be running through Quantar space.
“I was trying to dock at Quantar core as I saw a rookie pilot named Alter,” said pilot Valmagier, who was the first to notify UUNN of this phenomenon. “Suddenly more than 20 conflux spawned — mostly stingrays. I was not able to escape or dock in time… and got a POD ride… I don’t know what happened to the rookie pilot.”
Pilots have reported being attacked by this swarm in Quantar Core, Omni IV and Omni V sectors. Pilots are encourages to exercise extreme caution, taking time to check for the swarm when jumping into a new sector.

(Quantar Core) Duelists have disappeared from all stations and it is just now being noticed. It is clear that this is a specific coordinated effort. The questions are “who” and “why.” After a small effort was undertaken to get Duelists producing again last evening, someone stripped the produced Duelists – as well as all of the commodities needed to produce them – from Great Pillars Station.
Typically, the reasons for Duelist stripping are related either to economic greed (i.e. cornering the market and charging outrageous prices for an item at private markets), or to weaken an opponent’s ability fight. In this case, there is a POS in Dark Gateway called Port Royal-apcehan that is charging exorbitant prices – which would appear to support the “greed motive.” It is believed that this station belongs to the squad Ka3aKN which frequently flies under pirate tags. They appear to be pirating from stations rather than from individual pilots.
In any case, space is a more dangerous place now because of this activity and pilots should take immediate action both to ensure Duelist supplies are available when needed, and to ensure the commodities needed to make Duelists – including “down the line base commods” – are available.
The following notice was received from pilot Clanlord. We are publishing it at his request.
A little while ago i had a conversation with professor A.ShaiDen concerning the recent discoveries made in regards to Amanath .(see tri news reports from dates 116.1.8 and 116.1.15). Since then all news regarding these discoveries have stopped from TRI resources so i believe it a good idea to get things moving again via the way of a non TRI organized event.
Professor ShaiDen showed a real interest in what might be found in the Canis sector and it piqued my own personal interest. So i hereby ask pilots to join me in an effort to find out more by doing a couple of artifact prospecting runs in that sector this Sunday 116.2.7
I will plan 3 runs at various times so that all pilots are able to attend at one point or the other. Pilots should arrive ready and equipped for artifact acquisition (Insight/Displacer/Rotacol -equipped ) and please leave the Rangers at home since it is a high flux sector. Antiflux-capable ships will be more productive there since we are not all great fluxers 🙂 So please use HM or tows instead, similar speed and plenty of cargo capacity.
All DSS found will be turned-in to Professor A.ShaiDen for examination (they will be stored at a DSRG facility until pick-up arrangements can be made)
The staging area will be Fort McGee in the Gyre sector.
Assemble at staging area at 0830 UTC logging pilots and assigning point will take approx 15 minutes. Departure to Canis will be at 0845 UTC. Arrival in sector and start of run: 0900 UTC untill 1100 UTC. After this we will return to Fort McGee
Assemble at staging area at 1330 UTC logging pilots and assigning point will take approx 15 minutes. Departure to Canis will be at 1345 UTC. Arrival in sector and start of run: 1400 UTC untill 1600 UTC. After this we will return to Fort McGee
Assemble at staging area at 1900 UTC logging pilots and assigning point will take approx 15 minutes. Departure to Canis will be at UTC. Arrival in sector and start of run: 1930 UTC untill 2130 UTC. After this we will return to FortMcGee
I am hoping for an interesting day and loads of good finds of course anything else we pull out of the sector is finders keepers
P.S If the resident swarmbusters could keep the area clear of swarms for the day it would be greatly appreciated
The following information was received from pilot Hifly of squad -=MACK2=-:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tonight, to help combat the current sentient incursions and with the aid of Sinver the bait, hifly3 placed a publicly open poss in DC. It will be stocked with ff’s, nukes and missiles over the next few days, Please feel free to dock to either wait for the sentients to show up, restock or as a bolt hole if you get trapped in sector by infestations.
Sinver did sterling work keeping a number of Phocs and Nauts off of hifly3 so he could maintain the correct clearances to place the poss. The poss is placed 16k from the Gurge gate.
This evening a sentient conflux marker was spotted in the Dark Crossroads. Shortly thereafter, the Jumpgate path between Dark Crossroads and The Connection was severed by an conflux infestation. Not long after, the gate connecting Dark Crossroads to the Gurge was also infested.
Pilot FireFly of the TRI Privateers took it upon herself to remove the infestations, hitting first the Gurge/Dark Crossroads infestation. Thankfully other pilots had already built up a stockpile of nuclear weapons at the nearby Evening’s End station.
Shortly before the destruction of the Gurge/Dark Crossroad infestation, a series of 3 plasma storms moved through the Gurge sector, (a shield storm, then an armor storm, then another shield storm). Undaunted, FireFly continued her bombing runs throughout the duration of those storms.
Upon the destruction of the first infestation, pilot FireFly and her wingman Bayonette gained access to the Dark Crossroads system. However at no point, throughout numerous sorties made, were any conflux vessels sighted in either the Gurge or the Dark Crossroads.
Despite pushing through bad weather and nearly falling victim to fatigue during the prolonged campaign to finish off the Connection/Dark Crossroads infestation, at 00:42 Ekoo’s Time (4:42 GMT), the final infestation was destroyed.

(UUNN HQ) For several days a band of pirates from the squad OneEightSeven had rampaged through system after system, attacking honest traders in both unregulated and factional space. Reports indicate that the pirates have been seen working either as a group of three Solrain Intensity fighters for extorting credits; or with two fighters and one heavy miner equipped with Insight and Burglar for stealing cargo. Any refusal to heave-to for cargo removal or a slow response to pay the a “Pay or Die” (PoD) extortion demand results in a quick lifepod ride back to your base. One report indicated that one pilot’s ship was destroyed when he engaged autodocking computer and was not paying attention to comms, and not seeing the PoD demand.
Bounty hunters quickly took notice when the OneEightSeven gang targeted MadamRed – owner of the popular Bordello station in Diluted Reaches sector.
“I jumped into the Corridor Station sector to rearm missiles,” said MadamRed. “While sitting in the jumpgate, I saw 2 Solrain pilots wearing pirate tags. They flew towards me while announcing in sector comms that they were ‘robbing’ me. They were demanding I exit the jumpgate. I don’t know how they did it, but they managed to burgle approximately 30 units of my cargo before I woke up, docked at Corridor.”
Since the attack on MadamRed, a number of Mercenaries have been on patrol, looking to collect the OneEightSeven bounties. TRI-Security has also been on patrol to ensure safety of the spacelanes, but Bounty Hunters have protested complaining that TRI-Enforcers are interfering with their ability to make a decent living.
“The bounty hunters would be well advised to quit whining and do their job so I don’t have to do it for them,” said TRI-Security pilot Thaddeus ‘Ace’ Adder. “I saw the pirate PoDing someone in Tripoint sector. So I attempted to make an arrest. After a brief engagement, the pilot ran for a POS in Tictacs and I was, unfortunately, not able to catch or destroy him. Maybe if the whiny bounty hunters had been around they’d be a bit richer AND we’d have the pirate in custody now.”
Pilots are strongly encouraged to keep beacons tuned in their faction space, to enable tracking of these criminals but both authorities and bounty-hunters.
(UUNN HQ) The following after-action report was filed by pilot Hifly of -=MACK=-
Last night a concerted effort by a multi-factional group managed to drive back a conflux attack at Amananth,
For over an hour we fought waves of snails & nauts that were led by various sentient conflux using c7 wingmen without any loss on our side – but with total annihilation of the conflux that dared enter our space.
It seems we have been under observation for a long time as the sent was able to communicate on the F3 sector comms channel. Most of what was said was to disgusting to repeat here but the message was clear: they are coming and they want us dead.
The Aman Leap gate was infested by a very tough c9 sent, but due to the brave efforts of those involved the sent was prevented from strengthening It, so the infest was a very weak affair and only required 2 of the small supply of nukes we currently have available to destroyit.
Last night’s incursion, on top of the recent increase in infested gates, means we have to redouble our efforts at nuke production. Without nukes we could have whole sections of space cut off without the means to re-establish gate travel, with stranded pilots and without the ability to produce much needed supplies.
We have seen this pattern before, infests, snail storms, sent activity probing our defenses. Last time this happened it lead on to buildings being attacked and damaged stopping production of vital supplies, Repair guns should be built and stored in depot storage or your POSes for immediate use, just in case they are reading this and have not got the message yet,
