(UUNN HQ) Without any fuss, fanfare — or even so much as a press release, Commander H.A. Nelson was reappointed by The Directorate for another four-year term as Hyperial Station Governor.
Nelson was a surprise selection as governor in 111 because he is Quantar by birth. His long rise through the ranks in the HSS proved his loyalty, and he was made a citizen of Hyperial in 108.

This issue has turned out to be *** The Hyperial Issue *** … because, well, I guess the rest of the factions are just pretty boring!
Hyperial Building Destroyed
It started with a series of explosions at the already-damaged Phosphorous Nanoproducer that began on the late Dr. Kelvin Rauder’s birthday. Then a pilots decided to repair that producer — and that sparked a see-saw battle with Quantar pilots (primarily Ambrosius) lobbing nukes at the building; and a group of pilots from various factions led by GrimGriz attempting to defend and repair the building.
Along the way there was lots of taunting, insulting, challenging and general deriding going on. There were even a couple ship-to-ship battles. In the end, the building was destroyed — but that has still not put an end to the debate over whether the building had housed a secret Hyperial GenMod laboratory.
We may never know. Continue reading
(UUNN HQ) The long-disputed Phosphorous Nanoproducer in Hyperial Station sector was destroyed in the early hours today. The structure which was built approximately fifteen years ago, became a center of controversy in 117.6 when Quantar claimed it had received evidence that the building also housed a secret Hyperial GenMod (genetic modificiations) test facility. The building was severely damaged on 117.7 in a coordinated attack by pilots Ambrosius, Crackhead, Eismann, Hammer-BS, Nereid and Roidrider.
The building remained in that state until 119.2.28 when when several explosions almost destroyed it — which some believed was Quantar retribution for pilot GrimGriz destroying a damaged Duelist factory in Omni IV on the birthday anniversary of former Hyperial President, the late Dr Kelvin Rauder. (Hyperial Station) If you happened to be in Hyperial station sector early this morning, you may have seen some shields, power plants, guns and other equipment floating around in space.
“It’s all Quant stuff,” said Renn Torrey, the station’s Dockmaster. “I got the word from up top — ‘dump the stuff.’ Most of it’s crap anyway. Pretty tired of Quantar’s pompous oppression, so . . . out it goes.”
Torrey said that the only Quantar Equipment left on the station was mining equipment — which would be ‘tolerated’ in limited quantities.
“Tell all the pilots . . . don’t be wastin time haulin in no more Quant stuff,” said Torrey. “I’ll just dump it out the back door with the rest of the trash.”

(Hyperial Station) Hyperial today recognized the efforts of several pilots who worked to repair the damaged building in Hyperial Station sector. Dr. Viggio Ragne, Hyperial Special Representative for the Office of the President, released the following statement:
“We are elated to be able to recognize four pilots who put aside their daily duties to repair the Phosphorous Nanoproducer that had been attacked by Quantar two years ago, and which had experienced 3 suspicious explosions over the last few days. We are awarding the Hyperial Duty Ribbon, 20 PR units and 100,000 credits each to pilots GrimGriz, Imorg, Me.1 and Orka. Orka had initially performed repairs on the structure, while GrimGriz, Imorg and Me.1 brought the building back from the brink of collapse after subsequent explosions nearly destroyed it.
“And I must make special mention of Imorg, a Quantar, who risked censure by his own faction and clearly demonstrated that not all Quantar are deceitful and evil.”
(Hyperial Station) We have received confrmed reports that the pirate-tagged pilot GrimGriz was seen helping with repair on the badly-damaged building in Hyperial sector that was allegedly being used as a GenMod test laboratory, and where several explosions had nearly destroyed the already-damaged building over the last few days.
The building, which is officially labeled as a Phosphorous Nanoproducer, was identified by Quantar as a GenMod laboratory, after evidence was smuggled from Hyperial to Quantar. A Quantar-sponsored mission successfully put the laboratory out of commission on 117.7.6 and it had remained so until recently. Several pilots were awarded the Chrysalis Campaign Ribbon for their efforts in exposing and destroying the alleged lab.
(Hyperial Station) Several explosions rocked Hyperial Station today on a day when all Hyperials remember former president Dr. Kelvin Rauder. Initial reports indicate that the explosions came from the already-damaged Phosphorous factory that Hyperial had allegedly converted into a GenMod Laboratory.
It is not yet know what caused the explosions, but pilots are advised to exercise extreme caution until more is known.
*** UPDATED 119.3.1 ***
Additional explosions have been recorded at this facility. Hyperial authorities have made no comment, but TRI-SEC sources say high levels of radiation have been measured. Pilots should avoid getting near this structure.
