UUNN Newswire

(UUNN HQ) TRI Corporation officials have said that the Mayday telemetry from the lost transport ship has stopped.

“We believe the ship has been destroyed either by storms or by Conflux — perhaps both,” said Sagrith Hubri, TRI’s Director of Manufacturing, Mercantile & Economics.  “It’s a huge loss.  The financial part is insured, but some of the other cargo was irreplaceable.”

Sources indicate that the cargo value was in excess of 30 million credits.

Launch Systems Debacle Causes TRI Corp Shakeup

by Thane Carios

(Solrain Core) TRI Corporation today announced several organizational changes within its TRI Industries Division.

“In order to better align with our new strategic initiatives, we have decided to make a few changes to the Leadership Team in TRI Industries,” said TRI Corp. CEO Garth Taren.  “Effective immediately, Dorakk Thol is taking over the reins of the TRI Industries, reporting directly to me.  Alwyn Pinguar has elected to take early retirement, and we wish him well with his new life.

“Sagrith Hubri who has spent many years as one of Dorakk’s key advisors, will be stepping up as Director of the Manufacturing, Mercantile and Economics Group.

“We have also elected to make changes within the Station Systems and Maintenance Group where Yelda Mossad will take over as Director.  Yelda joins us from Aristio Conglomerated, where she successfully led the Propulsion Systems Division for 12 years.  As a result, Director Silvaar Ivyx will be leaving TRI Corp after 22 years.  We thank him for his many years of dedicated service.”

Although not noted in the TRI announcement, it is clear that the shakeup is a direct result of the ongoing launch-systems debacle that has shut down all traffic to and from all stations.  Economic impact from this has been estimated in the tens of millions — and counting, since there is still no word when systems will be restored.

Factory Explosion Determined to be Internal

by Yaz Shanndar

(Octavius Core)  Yesterday’s explosion at the Plutonium Factory in Octavius Core sector have been determined to come from inside the factory, said TRI Corporation investigators.

160730_142925Although the Factory and the surrounding area is still to hot for investigators to go in personally, robotic probes were used to shut down the radiation leakages and to provide preliminary evidence pointing strongly toward internal explosion rather than external

“We think this is pretty clearly an explosion that cane from inside the factory,” said Sagrith Hubri, spokesperson for TRI-IND (Industrial & Business Services), which operated the factory.  “The five individuals who maintained the factory tragically lost their lives, and most of the internal systems monitoring the factory are horribly damaged.  Once we can get people in there we may be able to get more evidence as to what cause the explosion — but that’s going to be a while.”

Little has been heard from Octavius as yet but Carto Hasdrubar, Governor of Octavius Core Station release the following statement:  “We are all shocked and saddened by the explosion at the factory.  Our thoughts are with the families of the five workers who died there — all loyal sons of Octavius who now enjoy the warm embrace of our ancestors.”  He went on to add, “We do not know the cause of this explosion, but all loyal pilots of Octavius are called upon to maintain beacons and to assiduously patrol Octavius space — especially the sectors around Octavius Core — to ensure those who would take advantage of this tragedy have no opportunity to do so.”

Sources indicate that the Triune Meeting will resume tomorrow with significantly heightened security.

Biomass Mission becoming Biomass Mystery?

By Thane Carios

(UUNN HQ) With Conflux Biomass in short supply and nuclear missile inventories dwindling, TRI Corporation sponsored an all-faction mission that began on 115.3.1 — a mission to collect biomass. But while this mission has progressed, any biomass collected has been disappearing from the markets.

“It’s hard enough trying to collect that damned stuff,” said one pilot who asked to remain anonymous. “If TRI or someone else is just hoarding the stuff we deliver, what’s the point? We need it to be producing nukes and that ain’t happening.”

A brief state from TRI Economics Spokesperson Sagrith Hubri simply said: “TRI Corporation is investigating the question of Biomass inventories.”

Pilot Insurance To Be Reviewed

By Rafel Solamis

TRI-HQ (TRI-FP) – In a statement released by Mei Mefyeyji (spokesperson for the Executive Council), TRI has announced a major review of pilot insurance.

“TRI is constantly reviewing policies and procedures, with the goal of making the bureaucracy more efficient, and making life better for the brave pilots who serve on the front lines. With that in mind, the Executive Council has appointed a panel to review the current insurance system, and make recommendations for change. Their final report is expected within six to eight weeks, and the council is committed to enacting their recommendations, if practical.”

Sagrith Hubri, from TRI Economic Affairs Office had this to say:

“Pilot insurance is still one of the major expenses that TRI has to fund. We have several ideas for running the program with less cost to TRI, and the council has agreed to let us investigate, and make appropriate recommendations. I am confident that the pilots of TRI can only benefit from this.”

“This is merely a ruse by TRI to dump the burden of insurance onto the factions, ” commented J’on Tin, an official within the Octavian government. “This is typical of their ongoing policy of forcing the factions to assume financial burdens, without the commensurate levels of authority that would normally go hand in hand. If the Executive Council keeps this up, they may wake up one day and discover there are no factions left within TRI to pay for their poorly run programs.”

Quantar, Octavius Agree To Hubri Plan

From the TRINN Archives

TRI-HQ (TRI-FP) – Both sides in the ongoing conflict have agreed to a 48 hour ceasefire, under the terms of the plan set forth by Sagrith Hubri yesterday. Quantar was the first to respond with this statement:
“It has always been our desire for peace with Octavius, yet recent events have not permitted that to happen. As laid out in the proposal from Sagrith Hubri, all forces loyal to Quantar are ordered to return to Quantar space, and remain on high alert while diplomatic channels are opened.”

Octavius responded with the following:

Octavius will adopt the proposal submitted by Sagrith Hubri. However, if no solution is reached within 48 hours, our forces shall once more take the initiative, and the fight, to Quantar.”

As outlined in the Hubri Plan, hostilities are set to end at 103.12.04 06:00 ET.
