Vol. II, No. 8 – by Ares Kiden
What is Going On?
There have been many many missions relating to the non-cooling asteroids, but we have heard results from exactly ONE. Is there some kind of secret agenda happening here? Or is everyone too embarrassed to admit that after all is said and done, they still have no idea what is causing the “high entropy state” in the asteroids? There’s been a bit of frustration building in the jump pilot community and I’m pretty sure much of it could be resolved with just a little bit of communication.
What’s Going On (part deux)?
For a couple of weeks, the conflux were on the rampage with infestations — include a couple of infestations that sucked up hundreds of nukes. Now, suddenly. None. Did we win? Is this the calm before the storm? And once again, is anyone even interested, concerned, jubilant? There has been no commentary from the factions, from TRI or from any of the so-called “experts.” Is anyone awake?
Well the “big” Quantar Miners Days holiday came and went, with little mining … because of that whole ‘roid issue that won’t go away. I don’t know about the celebrating that went on dirtside, but in the stations and out in space it was pretty quiet. The one kind of notable thing that happened was that the retired Quantar warrior Tezrend was awarded the new Shahir Assad award. It was a pilot-voted award that ended up in a tie, but Tezrend won the tie breaker “coin flip” over Ambrosius (who is only semi-retired). I also learned one new thing from the QuanTrivia contest — the original name and the opening date of QC station. I had no idea it was that old.
