The (Unregulated) Update

unregulated-updateVol I, No. 6 – by Ares Kiden

Sorry that I’ve been away a while.  Here’s an update of some recent news . . .

Ship Broadcasts Repeated Gibberish
Pilots have reported that Rauder-1 has been periodically broadcasting hex code over the F5 global chat channel.  Some pilots have replied, but have received no response. Rauder-1 is the test-drone which was originally tested by Hyperial on 117.4.14 (see article below).

New Timeline Resource
A new historical resource has been launched in a cooperative effort between TRI-Databank, the Sarath V Memorial Library and UUNN.  The new resource is an interactive timeline, which updates the old JOSSH timeline and includes some interesting new functionality.  It can be accessed HERE.

Hyperial Tests Drone Ship
Hyperial announced that it had successfully tested a drone ship, with the drone completing a simple scanning mission two jumps out from Hyperial.  This is most notable since Hyperial has not technically been jump-capable since the Second GVB War.  Although they do not have access to genetic alteration, a drone-ship program could give them some “reach.”

Body Armor Unearthed on Perasca
This was a rather cool and perplexing one … Quantar released information — as well as a picture — about body armor that was found during it’s Jekara Expedition.  The curious thing is that this armor is dated to about 2800BT, long before that kind of technology was thought to have existed on Quantar.

And of course I have to mention that this past week (on 117.4.30) we commemorated the fifth anniversary of The Catastrophe.  I don’t know about you, but it seems much longer ago than that.
